After graduating from university, Terry followed his father into accountancy but changed professions after joining Prestwood in 1994. He is now a Financial Planner and Investment Adviser with a special responsibility for research.

Terry and his wife have two children of secondary school age. Although Terry originally hailed from Bedfordshire he is a long time supporter of Leeds United FC and the Leeds Rhinos RLFC. In his youth he was a keen golfer and after some years of abstinence has started to play the odd game again. However, he admits to being a trifle wayward off the tee at present! He enjoys travelling and has visited nearly every European country.
